He has the soul of a seasoned artist. And a legion of fans to make him legit. Justin Bieber, at 15, is a singing wunderkind.
Raised by a single mom in Stratford, Canada, Justin entered a local “American Idol”-esque competition just for fun. With no formal musical training, he dazzled the crowd with his voice, not to mention his mastery of the drums, guitar, piano and trumpet. The musical autodidact came in second at age 12.
Soon afterward, he started uploading his jams on YouTube. He’s racked up more than 10 million views so far. Even Justin Timberlake and Usher started noticing him. They actually got into a bidding war to sign with him! Usher won. But, Justin Bieber is the big winner with his single “One Time” just going Platinum in his native Canada.

I dont understand why he’s on this. I mean he can sing, what has he done to help people? I sing in the shower all the time and my mom compiments my singing, so why arent i on this?

@ dear kyler…u might probably think that he hasnt done anything to help people but i think he did..because am sure that he has inspired a lot of little kids that its ok to let ur vioce heard in the world..no matter how young you are and somekids and are starting to think about singing while they r young. i hope that aswered ur question…

I love your music and I have since I seen your personal vedios on youtube. Singing music is a great thing to do, especailly if you singing about good stuff.
Well, this boy is AWESOME!!! and that is not a compliment its the TRUTH!!! He is so talented and really and truly has changed my life. Justin is a natural performer and great singer. But he is also only 15 and singing about love and relationships. To be honest, if I was critical of Brittney, Miley, Swift and others bad influence than I feel than same about him, not that he is bad but he and all these other young talents singing about “LOVE” is crazy and should not be condoned. And now CNN is recognizes and awarding this type of behavior. This type of nonchalant acceptance of this is one major reason why kids are being sexually active and people in whole are treating intimate relationships too casual. Single parents, premarital sex, and divorce are all products of this behavior. And now adults are not just accepting it but awarding it.
I believe the host of this blog needs to re-evaluate Justin Bieber and put in place any young teen that devotes their time to some sort of community service or youth center or something. Not someone that influencing other KIDS to get into relationships and through around words like “LOVE” and “I want to be with you” talk. You help good children do the WRONG thing when you show them people like this being awarded. Once again he is great but his message is not. Let his money hungry or careless parents and perverted record executive support him getting into intimate relationships at this age as they help him influence others to do the same. Don’t support this behavior
I know, I know I’m too critical right? Wrong all these parents out here need to care about how your kids are influenced and how they influence others. It’s a fact relating to children that in every music genre from Country, Rap to Rock if an artist says they like a certain drink, type of clothes, or even just how they like to wear the clothes will be willingly mimicked by most of the young fans. Form clothes to personal preferences of the artist will be mimicked by our kids. That’s why it should be taken seriously. Obviously many adults don’t see this that’s why he is being awarded as a “young person who rocks”
